FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday
Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years since relocating so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans can be present under the licence granted. After final construction, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.
Preparatory Events
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium earlier this month. The club said they are seeking authorization by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht next month at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
