Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

An aircraft ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official announcement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.

"The aircraft landed following standard procedures and everyone onboard, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson commented in a online announcement.

Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to Brussels during the flight.

This incident is not the first time that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a top government figure has suffered technical problems.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was required to return to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
